Ambrose Thompson was born on Vancouver Island in Canada, but spent the majority of his youth in the U.S.A. The stark variance between his first years and later ones gave him an early education in how differences of experience affect perspective and expectations. Books more than anything became a refuge for him to see farther than daily life allowed and drew him to the profession of librarianship. He is now an academic librarian trying to foster a love of reading and learning for people of all ages and past life choices. Read his poems: Cage and Interrobang.
